He spent several years as a guide traveling in California, Alaska, and then Arizona. He has created stamp artwork for Indiana, Alaska, Vermont, Delaware, Connecticut, Oregon, and Canada. He was named the Alaska and California Ducks Unlimited Artist of the Year.
