He came to learn printmaking (primarily etching) and is often remembered, along with his wife Evelynne, as a printmaker. Today’s piece, Water Mill (our title) is a large oil on masonite with a subject Mess visits again and again. The painting has been cleaned and it’s in excellent condition. The frame was surely made by Mess and it’s…cute. We did a little work on it to provide more stability. A nice, large offering by a painter who deserves more recognition.
