Clayson Baker was born in 1908 in Hillsburg, IN. He discovered his talent for art early and never stopped creating works. He maintained a studio in Indianapolis and Nashville and exhibited widely throughout Indiana including the Hoosier Salon the the Brown County Art Gallery. He studied landscape painting under George Jo Mess, and portraiture under Simon Baus. He passed in 1975.
