Jean Vietor was born and currently resides in the city of Indianapolis in Marion County, Indiana. She studied at Lindenwood College, Indiana University Bloomington, and George Payton Commercial Art Studio. Vietor is a watercolor painter and a print maker, specializing in birds and wildlife. Her images of cardinals once graced the cover of the Indiana phone book. She is a member of the Hoosier Salon, Indianapolis Art Center, and the Indiana Artist Club.
