William Woodward was born in Massachusetts and studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. He moved to New Orleans in 1876 to teach at Tulane. He along with his brother Ellsworth, were involved in the founding of Newcomb College. We're very interested in purchasing artwork by William Woodward.
