Born in 1915, Martha Hinkle Mosier was a respected painter and teacher from Martinsville Indiana. Mosier studied at Indiana University, The Art Institute of Chicago as well as under the personal tutelage of Clarence Stanley and Adolph R. Schulz. A member of the Hooiser Salon and The Brown County Art Gallery Association, Mosier's work has been exhibited at Depauw and Indiana Universities, Brown County Art Gallery, Swope Art Gallery, The Indiana State Fair as well as the Hoosier Salon from 1952-58. Many of these exhibitions resulted in prizes. Martha also served as an Administrative Assistant in the school of Music at Indiana University.
