Louise Eleanor Zaring was born in Cincinnati and began her formal art studies in Greencastle, IN where she briefly encountered John Twachtman and William Forsyth. She went on to study at The Art Student League in New York and then to Academie Vitti in Paris where she earned an award. She returned to the States and Provincetown where she studied under Hawthorne. She spent some portion of her life in Evansville, IN though no further information on this period is currently available. She ultimately retired to Miami and it was the Miami Art League which received her painting estate upon her death. We are very interested in purchasing works by Louise Zaring.
