The following information was posted by a site visitor: Harry Allen Davis (1914-2006) was born in the town of Hillsboro in Fountain County, Indiana. He was both a painter and printmaker and was most well known for his realist depictions of local architecture and landscapes including the James Whitcomb Riley house in Lockerbie. He studied at the Herron School of Art and Exhibited in the Hoosier Salon. He also had works shown at the Art Institute of Chicago, Grand Central Art Galleries, and the Pennsylvania Academy. He died in Indianapolis in 2006.
