The following information was submitted by a site visitor: Neil Matthew is a native Hoosier who taught for the Indiana University school system at Kokomo, then Indianapolis from 1960 on. He did his undergraduate work in Arizona and much of his work reflects the southwest character. He received a Fulbright grant and painted for a year in Stuttgart, Germany in the late 1950s. In the fall of 1989 he moved to Tucson, Arizona where he now resides. He is a well respected Indiana artist whose works are included in collections at the South Bend Art Center, the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science, DePauw University, the Indianapolis Museum of Art and the Indiana University Art Museum, among others.
