Anthony Buchta was from Chicago and a frequent visitor to Brown County, locating there permanently in the 1930s. His work almost always contains a vividness, verging on high-key color. If you follow our flow of paintings, you know we love his work. Here’s a great seasonal example -- Spring Stream, like it looks today in the Hills ‘o Brown. The water is flowing and the beautiful Cercis canadensis and crab apple in bloom. The painting is in flawless condition and housed in a hand-leafed reproduction frame. Timeless Brown County art!
